Social Boomarking

You have to register and login to enter your public or private bookmarks.

By default your profile is invisible in the "People" section until you open "edit public profile" interface (through "profile" section or from this page). If you want to hide your profile and bookmarks (all at once) - change "private" option (checkbox in "profile" section). If you change your status from "private" to "public" all your bookmarks becomes visible (unless they are marked as "private").

You "Bookmarks" show as a list of your own bookmarks added via the "Add Bookmarks" section. To add a bookmark you have to register and login. By default your bookmarks are visible, unless your profile marked as private or your marked certain bookmarks as private. Your shared bookmarks may be found via a link of your username (http://www.tobemelanie.com/bookmarks/yourusername/) or via an RSS feed with your username (http://www.tobemelanie.com/bookmarks/rss/yourusername/).

To hide your bookmarks from other visitors you can mark them as "private" (via a checkbox in the "add" or "edit" interface) or by making your entire profile private (see above). If you want to share a bookmark, don't mark it as "private"). All new books will be visible in the "New Bookmarks" section unless they are marked as "private."

If a large number of visitors bookmarks same link, it becomes "popular" and available in the "Hot Links" section.

You gain karma through bookmarking-related activities. A higher karma raises your vote power (so you can promote links to "popular" status faster then others).
